If the rumors are true why do you think Akira Toriyama hated or dislike him? If they're not true why do you think Akira never gave Vegeta that moment. I'll list every moment for all the important characters.
Goku - Main Character. But his big moment was killing King Piccolo Piccolo - Saving Gohan Yamucha - Turning Goku to normal and a good way to introduce the top challenger at the world tournament Jackie and Kami ect Kuriilin Fusion of english name and original name - Dying for the first time.
I know "dying" is his big moment. But so far it showed every time Krillin does something big is about to happen. Post by Saiga » Sat Jun 22, am Vegeta saved Goku when he killed 19, he also came up with the Super Spirit Bomb plan that killed Boo, and stalled against Boo twice, and he kept Kuririn and Gohan alive on Namek, plus it was thanks to him that Gohan was able to win the beam struggle with Cell. So it's not like he's never had his moment. I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog.
Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it! Post by TheMightyOzaru » Sat Jun 22, am Akira said he didn't like him an interview once but there is also another interview where he is listed as one of his favorite characters.
The question is, which interview came first? Toriyama might have not thought much of Vegeta until later on in his series. Toei disliking him, Iv'e never even heard of. They gave him SSJ4 so they clearly don't hate him too much. Vegeta : "Funny I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence.
One does not predict or calculate power like ours. He is given a few moments where he proves he is very strong and then is defeated to build up the villain. They don't hate the character. They just needed to use him that way.

Great for propelling the story along into rich, palpable territory, but he's not a very nice or admirable guy. July 9th will be remembered as the day Broly became canon. IMO, he had way too many victories handed to him and didn't get anywhere near enough punishment for the shit that he pulled.
I'm glad that Buu continued the proud villain tradition of humiliating him. Toei is kind of schizophrenic about him. They seemingly always have to have him as the second strongest guy around, even when he logically shouldn't be Buu filler, Movie 13, Movie 6, Movie 14, GT , but that only means that the villain of the week is going to bitch slap him easy. Herms wrote: The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker.
Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu because Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger.
So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. It definitely makes sense to say that Saiyan tails are recessive because the genes of the full-blooded Saiyans get more and more polluted as they have more children.
Yeah, that mostly makes sense but what about Trunks? If Goku's first child, Gohan, was born with a tail what's up with Vegeta's first child? One could argue that Bulma's genes are more dominant but this is Dragon Ball , no one's going that in-depth. You think such an impactful villain would have been remembered by Toriyama.
Mercenary Tao was one of Goku's earliest iconic foes and was a badass character in his own right. The guy throws a pole and lands on it surfboard style to get from place to place.
He also taught Goku's longtime partner Tenshinhan his fighting technique. This instance of forgetfulness was seen when Toriyama was interviewed and asked about the mercenary. Funny enough during this interview, One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda remembered how cool Tao was with Toriyama responding with, "Now you're getting to the less important characters.
Well, this one isn't as offensive as the past few but it's still an example of Toriyama's forgetfulness. Most Dragon Ball fans know that the differences between Super Saiyan 1 and 2 are the slight change in hairs sticking up, and the electric sparks that show up in the aura of Super Saiyan 2. As seen when Goku first becomes form 1 and while each of the characters are form 1 during the Android through Cell sagas none of them have sparks coming from their aura.
When Gohan becomes Super Saiyan 2 however, sparks come from his aura. This trend is followed when Goku goes form 2 as well as when Majin Vegeta goes form 2 in the Buu saga. Afterward, even form 1 is seen with the sparks. Let's give the man some credit when it comes to this one. It's been a long time since Toriyama has had to draw Android 18 and he has said that he doesn't write notes on the series so it's no wonder he's forgotten so much.
Anyways, apparently during the production of the film Battle of the Gods , he forgot that Android 18's hair was supposed to be blonde, leading him to give it a purple color instead. He had no clue that he made this mistake until his co-workers pointed it out to him so he could fix his mistake. It allows the user to grow two extra arms from their back and is typically seen used in combat. This technique was used during Dragon Ball and was all but forgotten until Dragon Ball Super where it was used shortly.
As we all know, Super is overseen by Toriyama, not written. So chalk this one up to someone else remembering this technique. De'Angelo Epps is a writer that has been a huge fan of various comics, movies, anime, manga, and video games all his life.
