It's unique because lots of kids can have the same shirt or what not but they can mix and match with so many others clothes, it's frickin sweet. And it's all about music :]. I don't really think haveing a bird or a moose on your shirt is very expressive I think kids shop there because they think that it's what people want them to wear.
I think kids just want to fit in because it's safe, but really they should be original and wear what they want, not what others think they should. Sure wear it if you like it though, theres nothing wrong with that if you like the clothes!
Just because something is more expensive and "popular", doesn't mean it's worth wearing though. I shop there because they have cute clothes and because my parents do have the money to buy it. I think American Eagle and Aeropostale is overworn. Like if you buy something, chances are 5 other people will have the same things.
That is why I shop at Hollister, Abercrombie. I don't know what it is. I wear a ton of hollister, fitch, american eagle and aero. I just cant stand it. Because they think its preppy and cool, but its not. All the people that where the same clothes and go to the same stores are boreing and have no style.

I am 33, and I love graphic tees for just casual wear, with jeans. I don't get into the shots with the company logos all over them though. Anyway, is this completely inappropriate?
Opinions please? Thanks everyone. TISH Well-known member. I wear whatever i like I don't think clothes have a age limit Now I do think Daisy Dukes have a age cut off for real, lol. I think as long as you still look good in something, go for it. Simply Elegant Well-known member. I think the clothes are really more for teens, but if you like them, keep on wearing them. Most likely the people that don't like Hollister wish they could wear it because they don't look good in it or it doesn't fit them right.
If you like it, then wear it! And p. You're brother just has his own point of veiw just like everyone else. But whatever, wear what you want as long as you actually like it and aren't wearing it just cause it's Hollister, or whatever brand. Of course there's going to be those people who judge you on what you wear, and might consider you a prep or whatever. And not only that, but that type of forceful mind set is all new to him.
I'm assuming he is either feeling pressured to run with the crowd or rebel entirely, I know I did at that age. The bottom line is that people are going to have opinions all day long, and someone will always be thinking negatively of you despite your surroundings. It's just the way today's society seems to be. What is all boils down to your personal preference. If you like your clothing, then who really cares what the general public thinks? You can't live your life according to other people, particularly thirteen year olds.
Haha as long as you feel confident with what you're wearing other people will like it. If you like it, wear it. This much is certain though I'm not all that into Hollister, but I like that it's more of a clean-cut look, it's appealing. Well, most or half at least. Not everyone likes every store. For instance, some people can't stand Hollister and some people dislike PacSun, even though I think those are two good stores. The point is that not everyone will like where you shop or what you wear, but you have just got to learn how to deal with it because the only person you should be pleasing is yourself.
Stay true, stay confident.
